We visited FARO AMETEK to compare notes on using 3D data in infrastructure

On Mar 13, 2026, we visited FARO AMETEK together with Mr. Suzuki of SUZUTECH Co., Ltd. We compared notes with Rod Chaffee (Vice President, Sales - Americas), Mak Poh Fatt (Sales Director, South East Asia / South Asia / ANZ / Korea), and Mr. Ito (Sales Manager) on how 3D data is used in public infrastructure today and where it is headed.

We talked at length about how 3D scanning is being used today for the inspection and maintenance of infrastructure assets such as bridges, tunnels, and sewer pipelines, and how linking that data to digital twins could improve day-to-day operations.

Recmill will keep working with partner companies to support the maintenance of public infrastructure.
